New Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer Offers First Look at the Vision

With a littleunder two months to go until the much anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters, Marvel has unveiled itsthird (and longest) trailer for the sequel to the 2012blockbuster. With narrationby the malevolent robot Ultron, voiced by James Spader, we watchas Robert Downey Jr.s Tony Starks blames himself for creating the artificially intelligent entity hell-bent on humanitys destruction.

However, what makes TheAvengers andthe Marvel Cinematic Universe in general so beloved by audiences is the films well-timed employment of humor, and after two trailers that focused on the doom and gloom of this upcomingsequel, the repartee between the superheroes coaxes out morelaughs this time around. The trailer also hints at a budding romance between Scarlett Johanssons Black Widow and Mark Ruffalos Bruce Banner/Hulk.

When it was revealed that actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, respectively, it was assumed that the superheroes would be fighting alongside the Avengers. The newtrailer, however, suggests the mutant brother-and-sister team arebattlingagainst Captain America, Iron Man and company. The trailer also includes a brief first look at the powerful android and fan favorite The Vision, voiced by Paul Bettany.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will arrive on May 1st despite the potential competition it faces from the Mayweather/Pacquiao title fightthat weekend. While Sony and Marvel recently inked a deal that would allow Spider-Man to join the ranks of the Avengers, that team-up likely wont happen until Captain America: Civil War continues Marvels box office reign in 2016.
