Ray Parker Jr.s original Ghostbusters came out in 1984 and went on to becomea No. 1 hit on the Hot 100. To this day, people ask me, Are you tired of hearing people say, who you gonna call?' Parker said in a the music documentary Hired Gun, which screened at SXSW earlier this year. Well, no! Its like, am I tired of holding the best lotto ticket or the best thing to ever happen?
Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliots version will appear on the Ghostbusters soundtrack, which is due out in July. The track list is chock full of big names from the worlds of pop, rap, and R&Bsuch asMark Ronson, A$AP Ferg, and Jeremih.
The Ghostbusters reboot hits theaters July 15th.
