Demme also partnered with Neil Young for a music film trilogy that featured 2006s Heart of Gold, 2009s Trunk Show and 2012s Journeys anddirected music videos for New Order (The Perfect Kiss) and Bruce Springsteen (Murder Incorporated).Recently, Demme helmed the music-driven drama Ricki and the Flash, which benefitted from Meryl Streep taking guitar lessons with Young.

Timberlakes last concert film, FutureSex/LoveShow: Live from Madison Square Garden, premiered on HBO and was subsequently released on DVD/Blu-ray in November 2007. Demme told EW that he would seek a distribution deal for the 20/20 Experience Tour film upon completion.
