Murder, mayhem, and cartoon food dropping f-bombs these are just a few of the things you'll see in the the redband trailer for Seth Rogen andEvan Goldberg's Sausage Party, an (extremely) R-rated animated comedy about supermarket items who learn the terrifying truth about what humans are buying them for.
The trailer begins on a happy note, as a hotdog named Frank (voiced by Rogen) and an overtly vaginal bun named Brenda (Kristin Wiig) are purchased by the same shopper. But when our heroes watch their new owner flay an Irish potato ("She's peeling me fucking skin!," it screams), they realize that they need to escape and tell the other edibles to run for the proverbial hills.
Sausage Party opens on August 12th and features the voices of Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Edward Norton, Paul Rudd, and many more.
