Martin Scorseses massive Bob Dylan documentary, No Direction Home, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a new box set featuring over two hours of never-before-seen interviews and footage.
The new set will include extended interviews with Dave van Ronk and Liam Clancy, plus an interview with Scorsese about the making of the film. Among the other bonus features are the unedited Apothecary Scene from Dylans 1966 U.K. tour, an unused promotional spot for Positively 4th St. and the fabled clip of Dylan playing I Cant Leave Her Behind in a hotel room in Glasgow in 1966.
The special edition box set will also include three Dylan lithographic photo prints and a special edition magazine featuring historical articles and photos. For its 10th anniversary, No Direction Homewill also be made available digitally and on Blu-Ray for the first time.
All versions of No Direction Home are available to pre-order via thefilmswebsite. The physical editions will be released October 28th, while the documentary will be available to download digitally October 25th, rent November 8th and stream November 28th. A new trailer for the 10th anniversary set is also available to watch.
The three-and-a-half hour, two-part No Direction Homepremiered on PBS in 2005, though Dylans manager Jeff Rosen began collecting interviews in 1995. The documentary features chats with Allen Ginsberg, Pete Seeger and Joan Baez, while Dylan himself granted Rosen an extensive interview in 2000. No Direction Homefocuseson Dylans life and music from 1961 to 1966, and along with the interviews, features an array of rare video, audio and photographs, including outtakes from D.A. Pennebakers 1967 documentary, Dont Look Back.
