Danny Rand, a rich heir assumed to have died in the plane crash that killed his parents, resurfaces in New York City after a 15-year absence in the new trailer for the upcoming Netflix series Marvels Iron Fist. During his time away, Rand has picked up martial arts, and hes quickly thrown into a struggle with evil elements that have taken over his parents former company.
The heros primary antagonist in the trailer appears to be Harold Meachum, an oily executive who has no interest in ceding control of Rand Enterprises. Meachums initial distrust of Danny Why has he waited this long to show up? How the hell did he learn martial arts? soon turns into pure menace. Rand is my company, he asserts in the trailer. Later a voice whispers, This city is no place for Danny Rand.
Rand is played by Finn Jones, whom Game of Thronesviewers will recognize as Loras Tyrell. Jessica Henwick, who also has a small role in Game of Thrones, plays Rands martial arts partner.
Marvels Iron Fist will debut as 13 hour-long episodes on Friday, March 17th.
