Will Ferrelland Mark Wahlbergset out to destroy each other in the hopes of winning the illustrious title of Greatest Dad in the wild new trailer for, Daddys Home, which premiered on Ellen.
The film reunites the two Other Guys, but this time theyrepitted against each other as Brad, a mild-mannered step-dad played by Ferrell, and Dusty, amotorcycle revving, zero crap giving biological dad, played by Wahlberg. In vying for the love and affection of Sarah played by Freaks and Geeks Linda Cardellini and the two children, Ferrell and Wahlberg easily manage to warp family fun into something hilariously destructive.
In the clip, Ferrell crashing Wahlbergs motorcycle through the front door of his home, accidentally and drunkenly pegging a Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader with a basketball and electrocuting himself on hanging wires ina skateboarding mishap. Even trying to crack theBoogie Nights stars chiseled jaw leaves Ferrell clutching his fist in pain: Did you just punch me in the face, friend? Wahlberg asks, as if a fly just landed on his chin.
Daddys Home also featuresThomas Haden Church, Alessandra Ambrosio, Hannibal Buress and Paul Scheer. The film was co-written by Brian Burns (Entourage,Blue Bloods), Sean Anders and John Morris, and directed by Anders and Morris, who have previouslypenned comedies like Hot Tub Time Machineand Were the Millers. Daddys Homeopens December 25th.
