With just over a month before Star Wars: The Force Awakensflies into movie theaters, the films first television commercial has started circulating. The 30-second spot, which debuted on Twitter, doesnt offer much in terms of new footage Luke Skywalker still doesnt make an appearance but it further cements Daisy Ridleys Rey as the focal point of Episode VII. In the commercial, Rey is seen firing a laser gun and, possibly, piloting the Millennium Falcon. Why is she captaining Han Solos ship? Fans will find out when The Force Awakens arrives December 18th.

While the commercial is light on visual surprises, the ads voiceover is revealing. I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes, a mysterious voice says over a montage of many of the sagas new heroes. Internet speculation suggests that the heavily accented voice could be that of actress Lupita Nyongos Maz Kanata, a CGI-based character who is a pirate in the upcoming chapter.
