Just days after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teased a scene where the Man of Steel unmasks the Dark Knight, the latest trailer for the epic showdown between the two superheroes has been unveiled. Compared to the grim, grimy July trailerfor the upcoming blockbuster, the new preview boasts a more lighthearted tone alongside its images of widespread destruction courtesy of the battle between Henry Cavills Superman and Ben Afflecks Batman.
The trailer also casts Jesse Eisenbergs Lex Luthor as an instigator in the fight between the two superheroes. Hes a catalyst in a plainclothes confrontation between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne, and while watching Batman and Superman fight it out from atop a building, he tells Amy Adams Lois Lane, The greatest gladiator match in the history of the world: Son of Krypton versus Bat of Gotham.
However, the highlight of the preview comes in the final 30 seconds, as the films hugeadversary a powerful rock-like creature thats presumably the Superman-killing Doomsday is revealed. Luthor uses the corpse of Man of Steels main villain General Zod to create the monster, and when its unleashed, it comes within seconds of killing a trapped Batman until Gal Gadots Wonder Woman shows up out of nowhere to save the Dark Knight. She with you?, Superman asks Batman, who quips back, I thought she was with you.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25th.
