See Jack Sparrow Fight Old Enemies in Pirates of the Caribbean Trailer

Captain Jack Sparrow squares off against his first and likely last nemesis in the new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Billed as the final installment of the long-running franchise, the new trailer for Dead Men Tell No Tales opens with a tale from Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), a successful Spanish pirate hunter who finally meets his match against a young Captain Jack.

The trailer jumps ahead and finds an undead Salazar and his ship of ghost sailors resurfacing from the depths of the sea to seek vengeance on Captain Jack and all other pirates. Sparrow, however, is hardly fazed by the return of his old adversary, quipping, I once knew a Spaniard named something in Spanish. To defeat Salazar again, Jack teams up with a young astronomer and sailor (Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites, respectively) to recover the legendary Trident of Poseidon.

Dead Men Tell No Tales will also feature Geoffrey Rush reprising his role as Captain Hector Barbosa and acameo from Paul McCartney. The movie also boasts Kevin R. McNally, Golshifteh Farahani, Stephen Graham and David Wenham. Joachim Rnning and Espen Sandberg directed the filmDead Men Tell No Tales, which opens May 26th.
