Elle Fanning becomes a butterfly in the latest high-stakes trailer for the filmTeen Spirit. This trailer offers a preview of Fanning belting Ellie Gouldings hit Lights.
Teen Spirit tells the tale of fictional pop star Violet (Fanning), a shy Polish teenager who enters a singing competition. This particular trailer previews how quickly Violets talent is not only spotted by the producers behind the competition but maybe even taken advantage of. Rebecca Halls character, who seems to be a record label executive involved with the show who wants to sign Violet, is given a fairly ominous preview as scenes of Violets old and new life rapidly weave together. Violet appears to sing Lights during one of the stages of the competition.
Teen Spirit will hit theaters on April 5th. The film will feature Fanning covering not only Goulding, but hits by Tegan & Sara, Robyn, Carly Rae Jepsen, Annie Lennox, Jack Antonoff and Sigrid. Music by Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Grimes, No Doubt and more will also be featured prominently in the movie.
